One of the most anticipated singer-songwriters of 2008, Isak Bosman is creating a stir within the circles of Christian music. Yet still, his attention is not drawn by the ever changing stir, but is fixed in a longing to engage a world with a wonderful Creator.

With a deep love for music he is continually reminded that the need is not to sound a life of worship, but to live one. I realise that we can so easily be tainted by incorrect motives and conceal it behind great aspirations. My purpose is not to make history for myself, but to use myself to tell His incredible story in my life, says Isak.

This truly echoes within the tracks of his debut album Youre The One. Compelling us to respond to the God that loves us so completely. One of my favourite parts in the word is the account of David where he says to a servant, I will not give to God that which costs me nothing. May we never take for granted the grace we have to worship God so accessibly.

Bosmans songs grasp us to respond to God with something more than just our words in song.

Born 1984, in Bethlehem, South Africa, Isak grew up in a non musical family to say the least. At age 15 his response to Gods call to music was not received with eagerness. My family meant well, but they didnt understand I had to do what was burning in my heart. Bosmans own passion for God and his love for worship led him to leave his home after school to take up a placement at Hillsong College, Australia.

As part of the worship team at Hillsong, Isak soon realized his passion to use music that connected a world with the yearning heart of God. In his pursuit he joined a team to plant a vibrant church in Glasgow, Scotland, where he served as worship pastor.

This soon led to teaming up with triple platinum selling producers Graham Duffin and Sandy Jones to capture something special. Isak recalls: Its quite funny really. I had 4 weeks to write the songs and 5 days to record it. People laugh when I tell them, because it really is insane. But I merely hoped it would be something to inspire people to worship God in a genuine way. My simple prayer is for God to use me."

The result led to something really special. Music critic Hannah Seaman agrees. This was an excellent album which exudes joyful worship. I for one will wait in anticipation to hear Bosman's future work.

With so many collections filling our music pews, there are few that really make a statement. In an age bombarded with entertainment and so many ways to draw for our attention, Isaks heart is to use music to engage a world in the mission of worshiping God in a deeper level than ever before.
