Piano based potpourri for the ear, at times Wonka-esque, Pop/Rock-Carnival Music complete with sitar and tubas at other times a restless pirate longing for home. There's also a few straight forward pop/rock songs thrown in for the less imaginative and because hey, we need some 3:05 radio tunes....but concerning my songs that are personal favorites, image Bruce Hornsby co-writing a song with Sting after watching an episode of the X-files while eating hot wings with Tom Waits and Thelonius Monk. Of course, at this point Bob Dylan and the Chieftains walk in with a movie by Tim Burton. They want to watch it but theres not enough hot wings. Plus Sting's a little ticked off because he just wanted to write. There's a playground behind the house with a strange lady in a wheelchair near the merry-go-round yelling through a megaphone at a bunch of kids. Oh yeah, and there was a gas leak...Then again if you just want the straight forward pop/rock song with standard song structure a good lift on the chorus some interesting 'money chords' and polished lyric with a great hook...well, I got that too.
